Branded by Sim was built on the belief that we don't have to shrink ourselves to be successful. We believe the most sustainable businesses are the ones where you get to be yourself. The ones where your personality isn't something you hide but something you build around.
So, instead of jumping straight into logos, color palettes, or websites... we start with understanding you through psychology, strategy, and energetics. Once we uncover your personality, strengths, and your brand, we use design to translate all of that into a brand that feels as authentic as the woman behind it.
We believe the best brands do more than look good. They capture a feeling.
They take something as intangible as a memory or an experience and turn that into an identity that's impossible to ignore.
That's why we draw from experiences rather than aesthetics alone. We're inspired by collected beauty from architecture, cultures, art, history, and textures.
Like the smell of books in a centuries-old library. Intricate carvings in buildings that have stood the test of time. A morning breeze carrying the scent of salty ocean air. ABOUT SIM
Designer & Strategist
I've always loved understanding people. It was fascinating to learn how people think and feel. How their inner world drives them.
Naturally, I pursued Psychology in college but stumbled upon an online magazine club where I fell in love with design.
After graduating from UW-Madison with degrees in Psychology, Design Strategy + Digital Studies, I worked in Marketing and Communications across nonprofits, media, and agencies (including brands like Nature Made Vitamins!).
But as a feisty woman of color with a big personality, every job required an exhausting mask of professionalism. Trying to fit the polished, filtered mold of Corporate America while forcing every bro-marketing strategy to build my business left me frustrated and burnt tf out.
Eventually, my body paid the price, and I knew something had to change.
I needed freedom. Not only freedom with time and money but to just be myself. To honor my energy instead of forcing constant output. To express myself freely.
That's the heart behind Branded by Sim.
That women don't have to shrink ourselves in business or follow some bro-marketer's hustle mindset to be wildly successful. That we can swear like sailors, be loud, colorful, imperfect, and human... and still be everything we dreamed of.
I believe that the parts of yourself you've been told to tone down or are "too much" are exactly what make you unforgettable.
And that's what we build your brand on.
